Three pink balaclavas, no idea who’s behind them, and yet impossible to miss: PA69 from Berlin have gone from being an insider tip to a phenomenon. DJ DOPE, Rabatto and Turbogianni remain as anonymous as they were on day one – but their live show is louder than ever. With the release of their debut album “XXL” in 2025, things have moved at breakneck speed: a world record for the most concerts in a single day, two sold-out home shows at Berlin’s Columbiahalle, and massive crowds from the Campus Festival in Konstanz to Hurricane. There’s no getting round PA69 now. And now they’re stepping it up a notch. Nobody rings you on your birthday. Drinking every day has become boring. And you haven’t sent a smiley face in ages.
