Are children under 16 allowed to attend events without an adult accompanying them?

Children and adolescents under the age of 16 are permitted admission only when accompanied by a legal guardian or custodian (i.e., an adult with written authorization from the parents*) and in possession of a valid admission ticket. Legal guardians and custodians must ensure they fulfill their duty of supervision. Children under the age of 6 are generally only permitted to attend events when accompanied by an adult.

Depending on the event, the respective organizer may establish stricter rules that differ from those outlined here. Please refer to the relevant event information on our website or contact the respective organizer.

What items are not allowed at events?

When visiting the velodrome, please limit the items you bring to the following:

• Bag or backpack no larger than DIN A4 (20 cm x 30 cm)

. Please do not bring the following items:
• Bags or backpacks larger than DIN A4 (20 cm x 30 cm) – There is a fee for storing items larger than DIN A4 (5 euros per item)
• Bulky items of any kind (suitcases, baskets, helmets, strollers, umbrellas, folding chairs, etc.)
• Drinks, food, and snacks•
Electronic devices (laptops, tablets, cameras, audio and video recorders, GoPros, selfie sticks, large power banks, etc.); small digital and analog cameras may be

brought in. For further information, please refer to the house rules.

What payment options are available for the events?

At our events, you can pay with cash or cashless methods—we accept EC/Girocard, credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Amex), and contactless payments via smartphones and smartwatches using Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Please note that only cash payments are accepted at the coat check.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Bringing food and beverages into the hall is generally prohibited. Exceptions to this rule include food and beverages brought in for health reasons, as well as those intended for feeding babies and toddlers. Furthermore, the sale of any goods inside or in front of the arena is prohibited without prior authorization.

What food and beverage options are available for visitors at the Velodrom?

At our catering stands, you’ll find a wide selection of fresh, high-quality products—mostly sourced from the region. 

We offer hearty classics like french fries, currywurst, bratwurst, meatballs, and pretzels. In addition, there’s a variety of potato dishes to choose from: Cheese & Onion Fries, Chili Cheese Fries, Mexico Fries, Herb & Garlic Fries, Korean Wedges, and Chili sin Carne Wedges—all vegan or vegetarian.

Nachos are served with two dips (cheese and salsa).

Currywurst and schnitzel are also available in vegan and vegetarian versions.

For a sweet treat, Florida ice cream and popcorn are available.

The beverage selection includes non-alcoholic soft drinks, freshly tapped beer, and various specialty coffees.

Cashless payment is accepted at all events: EC/Girocard, credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Amex), and contactless payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay.

How many wheelchair-accessible seats are there at the Velodrom?

Depending on the event format, up to 88 parking spaces are available for wheelchair users.

When do visitors get in?

Doors usually open 1.5 hours before the event begins. For concerts that typically start at 8:00 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m. You can find the exact times in our event calendar. We generally recommend arriving early.
Be sure to allow enough time, for example, for security checks at the entrance.

 

In general, admission and event times are subject to change on short notice, even on the day of the event itself. We’ll keep you informed in a timely manner on our website, as well as on our social media channels—Facebook and Instagram.

Is smoking allowed in the arena?

Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the Velodrom, including all adjacent rooms; this prohibition also applies to e-cigarettes. 

You may smoke in a designated area in front of the entrance.

Is there a lost and found office for lost items?

If you have lost something during an event in the hall, please contact our security and service staff on-site. After the event, inquiries can be submitted via email: fundsachen(at)velomax.de
Notice pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR:
Your personal data (e.g., name, email address, details of the lost item) will be processed exclusively for the purpose of handling lost and found items. The data controller is Velomax Berlin Hallenbetriebs GmbH. The data will be deleted once the statutory retention periods have expired. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Can you help if tickets are lost or forgotten?

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist you further on our end. Please contact the ticketing company where you purchased the tickets and request a confirmation or, ideally, a replacement ticket—preferably before the event. If that’s not possible, try doing the same through the event organizer. Information about the event organizer can be found on the event’s page.

Are bicycle and motorcycle helmets allowed in the arena?

As a general rule, helmets of all kinds are considered dangerous items and should not be brought on board if possible.

  • Bicycle helmets can be dropped off free of charge at the bag drop-off area (outside, to the left of the entrance).
  • Motorcycle helmets can be checked at the baggage check (outside, to the left of the entrance) for a fee.
Deposit Cups

Deposit cups will only be accepted for return if there is proof that they were issued by Velomax.
